Description: Ergonomics for Public Works and Utilities is a practical webinar tailored for municipal employees who perform physically demanding tasks in the field and shop environments. This session will cover how to identify ergonomic risks, apply simple adjustments, and use proper techniques and tools to prevent musculoskeletal injuries. Learn how small changes in posture, movement, and equipment use can lead to safer, more efficient work across water, sewer, sanitation, and maintenance operations.

Topics include:  
• Common ergonomic hazards in public works and utilities
• Safe lifting, bending, and repetitive motion techniques
• Proper tool and equipment selection and use
• Ergonomic considerations for vehicle and equipment operators
• Job task assessments and workstation improvements
• Injury prevention strategies and staff training tips
