WEBINAR: ADA Physical Accessibility: Curb Ramps, Sidewalks and Facilities

Description: ADA Physical Accessibility is a practical webinar designed to help Florida municipal staff understand and apply ADA standards to a municipal environment. This session will focus on identifying common accessibility issues in public rights-of-way and facilities, and provide guidance on how to design, construct, and maintain compliant infrastructure. Attendees will learn how to improve accessibility, reduce liability, and support inclusive community access for all residents.

Topics include:  
• ADA and FDOT standards for curb ramps and sidewalks
• Common design and construction errors to avoid
• Facility access: entrances, restrooms, and parking
• Detectable warnings and slope requirements
• Maintenance responsibilities and transition plans
• Inspection, documentation, and public complaint response 

Certificates: A certificate of attendance is provided automatically by the Go-To-Webinar platform only if you watch the live broadcast after logging in with your name and your email. If you watch the webinar as a group, or if you watch a replay, you will not receive a certificate. For group training simply document the completion of the training on a training roster or safety meeting summary form.
