Description: Fraud occurs when a person or business intentionally deceives another with promises of goods, services, or benefits that do not exist or were misrepresented. Millions of people in the United States are victims of fraud crimes each year. In this webinar we will provide and introduction to the types of scams and cyber security risks that exist and go over some simple Cybersecurity best practices. Lastly, we will discuss how to recognize and prevent the 8 most common scams including: Telephone, Banking, Census-Related, Government Grant Scams, Investment, Lottery and Sweepstakes, Charity, and Pyramid and Ponzi Schemes.
