Central Florida Disaster Recovery Seminar
Tuesday, June 7th - 10:30am – 1:30pm
City of Kissimmee, 4955 Kyngs Heath Rd., Kissimmee, FL 34746
This year's seminar will cover the challenges and difficulties presented during the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, which produced an above average 21 named storms while still navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season is yet again predicted to be more active than normal, with 19 total named storms, 9 Hurricanes with 4 of those expected to be Category 3 or higher. This year's presentation will also include updated coverage provisions that affect disaster recovery and the updated FMIT Turnkey Recovery process.
Led by FMIT and SynergyNDS personnel who actively manage recovery efforts, this event will allow FMIT Members to interact with and understand exactly where the FMIT Turnkey Recovery program benefits them and how to integrate it into their own emergency response and recovery procedures. The information in this seminar will be critical in future catastrophic events and can save countless hours and up to millions of dollars of exposure to FMIT Members.
The FMIT Disaster Recovery Seminar is intended to educate City Managers, Fire & Police Chiefs, Public Works/Utilities Directors, Finance Directors, Safety Directors, Risk Managers and other key stakeholders in Emergency Management/Disaster Recovery. We look forward to seeing you there!
