Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) 8-Hour Refresher Course
Duration: 8 Hours/1 Day
Per the MOT Administrator: MOT is now Temporary Traffic Control
Pre-Requisite: Must hold CURRENT MOT Wallet Card - This course is designed for persons who currently hold a valid and verifiable wallet card and are near their re-certification due date. Training or refresher courses are required every four [4] years for all persons in order to maintain certification. In addition to their valid driver's license or photo ID, each attendee must bring their current/valid MOT Wallet Card to the training session.
Overview: Course curriculum covers Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) principles and procedures to include classroom training, problem solving and a written test.
Learning Objectives:
• To ensure course participants are knowledgeable of Temporary Traffic Control principles and procedures, specifically to ensure every person involved with work zone traffic control understands the standards with regard to planning, designing, supervising, implementing, and maintaining Work Zone Traffic Control.
Participant Profile: Persons who hold a current valid and verifiable wallet card and are near their re-certification due date. TTC/MOT 8 Hour Refresher participants MUST provide a copy of current MOT wallet card upon registration.
MOT certification wallet cards, which are valid for four [4] years from the date of the exam, will be issued by the MOT Administrator to individuals who successfully complete this course.
Temporary Traffic Control/MOT Intermediate or Temporary Traffic Control/MOT Refresher Courses are required every four years for all persons to continue to be qualified to perform their assigned duties. Persons who have maintained current certification from an approved Provider may take a training or refresher course to comply with this procedure.
