As the Recovery Manager for Florida Municipal Insurance Trust Members, we see property losses on a daily basis. From the basic theft or vandalism loss to hurricane losses on enormous scales, each loss is an event that can be managed with a successful outcome, when prepared for in advance.
Proper preparation begins within the municipality with communication between departments where information is shared and updated on a timely basis. Personnel responsible for managing property risk cannot do their jobs correctly without an adequate understanding of what is occurring within their municipality. From minor renovations to capital improvement projects and new construction, communication of these changes is crucial for managing municipal risk.
